COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course emphasizes programming techniques using the Java programming language. The syntax of Java will be reviewed, and then advanced topics such as objects, classes, methods, and special applications of Java will be covered.

CLASS POLICY:

  • Every week there are reading assignments from the Whitehead and Deitel textbooks, and from supplied internet sites. Refer to the course outline.
  • Each week's lab assignment will be posted on the class website one day before the previous lab assignment is due.
  • Lab assignments and projects are due at midnight of the Saturday evening indicated in the course outline.
  • Half-credit for late assignments up to one week late.
  • No credit will be given for work that is not original.
  • Lecture classes start at 4:10PM sharp, and lasts for 55 minutes. 
  • Do not trust classroom clocks -- check the time at http://www.time.gov/
  • Please contact the instructor as early as possible if you are having difficulty with the course. The instructor's purpose is to help students learn the course material.
