This site contains the HTML versions of Robert Burns' "Introduction To Programming", 4th edition, using C++ and Java. To use this site, you need a user account with a username and password. Anyone can have a free account for accessing and reading the books, except that it is not intended for commercial uses.

To get a user account, use the registration link on this page. As soon as you register, the author will be alerted about your request. You will receive an email notification when your registration has been processed, and you will then be able to use the site.

If you are taking COMSC-110 or COMSC-110X at DVC, it is highly recommended that you buy a hard copy of the textbook. It's $20 at the DVC Book Center. You can order online: click here to order the C++ version, or here to order the Java version.
